Taoti Creative -- Senior Drupal manager primarily responsible for all Drupal projects. Continuing development, resourcing and tech lead responsibilities. Major projects include:

  • Howard County CAD (nodejs)
  • New Play Exchange (Drupal 10)
  • AAMI (Laravel/WordPress)
  • Standardizing Taoti Creative hosting from Pantheon (and to a lesser extent, other hosts) to a AWS centric stack as default.
  • A host of accessibility audits and improvements for ADA Title II Compliance (For public entities serving populations of 50k+ the deadline was April 2026, but has been delayed to April 26, 2027)
  • Moving Taoti internal new Drupal site initializations to use Drupal recipes instead of Install Profiles

Open Source Contributor

2016 - ongoing

I'm a strong proponent of open source and contribute widely. I Maintain and contribute to a wide variety of Drupal modules with hundreds of issue queue credits and over 1000 commits on drupal.org! Exact focus dependent on projects and time available.

Although I now strongly consider slideshows to be a anti-pattern, in early Drupal 8 days, took over maintenance of Views Slideshow module for both Drupal 7 and 8. Introduced test suite for Drupal 8 branch while bringing the number of open bug reports from almost 200 to under 10.

Consultant/Freelance Developer

2012 - ongoing

Develop and plan various web solutions, primarily using PHP, JavaScript, HTML & CSS. Highlights included

  • Launching a Drupal 8 live site in October 2015 (one of the first Drupal 8 public sites).
  • Recovering a whole server with more than a 20 Drupal 6-8 sites in the aftermath of Drupalgeddon with minimal data loss. (Not my server, was brought in to fix it)
  • Multiple small scale sites for various political causes and campaigns in short times

Backend Team Lead

2021-2023

Taoti Creative -- Managing teams of 3-5 back end developers on multiple concurrent projects. Ensuring adequate resourcing on an ever changing number of projects to meet organizational and client deadlines. Also, providing sales support, discovery, and ongoing client relationship management/technical advice. Planning and implementing large scale Drupal 9/10 builds for my team. Major projects include:

  • National Pharmaceutical Council (Drupal 9)
  • Carnegie Science (Drupal 9)
  • Creating standardization and improved developer experience with Drupal Scaffolding plugins to support Taoti’s work with various hosting platforms.
  • Moving to Github as primary code repository with Github actions managing most deploys.

Developer

2018-2021

Taoti Creative -- Initially primarily Drupal 8 with some 6 and 7 support work, later Drupal 9. Working with various enterprise, governmental and non-profit clients. Worked on many integrations & migrations including with Salesforce, Neon, Nimble, and setting up Drupal based API endpoints. Launched multiple Drupal 9 builds. Major projects include:

  • International Franchise Association (Drupal 8)
  • Howard County (Drupal 8)
  • Participating in planning and orchestrating a move to a CI based workflow for new projects.
  • Spearheading the move to Composer based Drupal sites including updating older sites.

Developer

2017-2018

North Studio -- General Drupal work. Responsibilities included primary development ownership and working with external providers and CI/Tooling.Major projects included:

  • Lethbridge College (Drupal 8 new build)
  • WellGo USA (Drupal 8 new build)
