Happy Earth Day (yesterday)
Although I have mixed feelings on Earth Day at this point... I always loved it as a kid, but I'm pessimistic about it being any more than a performative day for corporate and government bodies. That said, I still do celebrate it for myself.
So seems like as good a day as any to say, I'm running as an Esquimalt Saanich Sooke Green Party Nomination contestant. A large part is that dissatisfaction/disgust at lack of actual government action. TMX, Site C, etc etc are still ongoing.
We need politicians who will take real steps and make choices - not just pretty words.. I'll be saying a lot more in the coming weeks but for today that's enough.
